I highly would recommend KABJJ!
Kola is an extremely dedicated and technical professor who is a black belt under 3rd degree black belt. Kola Ajose Jiu Jitsu Academy teaches Rickson Gracie’s philosophy of “Invisible Jiu Jitsu” believing that the fine details are what makes the difference and that what you don’t see, weight distribution and connection are key components to “feeling” Jiu Jitsu.
I train here from time-to-time because the team is great and everyone feels Kola provides the one-on-one personal touch that is often needed in today’s BJJ schools. In addition, Kola is truly awesome with the kids! You will often see him at tournament’s gathered and huddled with his team, encouraging and inspiring. So if you want to get in shape, train with some really dedicated and technical students, I highly recommend Kola Ajose Jiu Jitsu Academy!!!
Hello My name Is Natalie Loeffler. I am a 31 years old female, and I work as a Holistic Therapist, doing Nutrition Coaching , Energy Therapy, and Skin and BodyWork. Before I started doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu I was primarily exercising on my own, doing things like running, workout videos, and using an elliptical machine. I grew up playing sports and would also occasional play on an adult soccer or softball team too. After doing this for years I eventually became bored and my exercise routine plattoed. I decided I wanted to learn and try something new. Something that was fun yet challenging. I had some family friends who did martial arts, and since I had never done that but was always interested in self-defense, I thought I would look into it. I didn’t know what style I wanted to do but I started searching around and literally just fell into Brazilian Jiu jitsu at a local gym. I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into or what kind of journey I was about to embark on, but I felt as though it was right place for me to be. Well, there’s a saying, “You don’t find Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu finds you.” And that was very true for me. I was hooked. Even though it could be considered an intimidating sport, that’s mostly dominated by males, and very physical, I was not unsure or scared about taking it on as a new sport. I found the other teammates to be very inviting and respectful, and never felt unsafe or bullied. The art itself draws very humble, caring, respectful, and family oriented people, all of which made me feel at home. In terms of the sport itself, it was exactly what I needed, a new skill and workout that would keep me in shape, learning, and challenging myself. I have been doing Jiu Jitsu for three and a half years (now a purple belt!) and its still a great workout that’s fun but also still challenging. I also love Jiu Jitsu because of the self-defense aspect. Jiu Jitsu is the best martial arts for practical self-defense skills and that is very important for women in todays society. Jiu Jitsu is a sport that will not only keep you fit and mentally and physically challenge you, it will also build your confidence and give you the skills you need to protect yourself. A win win I think! As in any sport or even classroom setting, who is teaching you can determine whether or not you have a good experience, learn anything, stay motivated, or get inspired to pursue your own ambitions in life. A great coach can really make all thedifference. That’s why I would recommend Kola Ajose’s Academy. Coach Kola is very passionate about teaching Jiu Jitsu and making sure his students get the best! He is devoted to learning the details of the art to the best of his ability so he can transfer that knowledge to his students. He gives all his students undivided attention and helps them work on their weakness while promoting their strengths! His classes are educational, cardio intense, challenging, and hands down a good time! If you are considering trying something new, testing out a new sports, giving Jiu Jitsu a chance, or simply changing your life for the better, come check out Kola Ajose’s Academy… you wont regret it!
Hello my name Domine Hill. I’m a an electrician. I was introduced to jujitsu because I was tired of the gym thing. Plus I really didn’t get too much of a benefit from it besides excessive crowding that caused long waiting line for equipment. So after talking to some people I was told that I should look into the martial arts because they allow you to get a better work out both mentally and physically. So I found a place and started training and soon afterwards fell in love with the art. After a few months I realized another part to this equation is that training in this art form require you to have a certain comfort level with your training partner because of some of the positioning and holds that you will often be in. That’s when I was lucky enough to stumble across Kola. He will push you to train hard, yet allows you have fun while maintaining a very relaxed atmosphere. Now 2 years into it we are like family. So come join. We are waiting for!!!
Professor Kola has improved my Jiu Jitsu by leaps and bounds. He has always been very supportive and understanding. Living the BJJ lifestyle is difficult when you have a family, but I can always count on Professor Kola to be there for me when I have time to train. He has a passion for Jiu Jitsu that is truly remarkable and inspiring. I am glad to have him and professor Saima Latif by my side as I navigate the Jiu Jitsu road. They are not only my Jiu Jitsu teachers and training partners but family. Trust me when I say the Kola Ajose Jiu Jitsu team is the place to be.
I started training BJJ because I was getting tired of lifting weights and doing boring cardio to stay in shape. I decided to try Jiu Jitsu because I wanted to try a new physical activity and learn self defense. I’ve been training for almost 5 years now and I have competed in tournaments, dropped body fat, and now in the best shape of my life.
Training with Kola has been awesome. He pushes us, encourages us and makes sure we are progressing and getting better. You can see Kola is very passionate about Jiu Jitsu and wants to make sure all his students are having fun and enjoying their learning experience. If you are interested in learning self defense, getting back into shape or wanting to try a new sport… then I highly recommend contacting Kola and get started training.
